Intelligent Systems for Health

A nonprofit implementation-science and health-systems research group in Bangladesh.

Health technologies in real-world systems

Intelligent Systems for Health (ISH) studies how useful health technologies and evidence-based interventions can be adapted, implemented, evaluated, and sustained within Bangladesh's health and public-service systems.

Our research examines the conditions for implementation across urban and rural settings: workforce capacity and staffing, training, technology adoption, workflow integration, equitable access and usability, infrastructure readiness, and resource constraints.

Applied evaluation

We investigate operational feasibility, costs, and sustained performance at scale. Digital health tools, diagnostics, decision-support systems, data systems, and AI-enabled technologies are interventions to be evaluated within these settings. Effects on service delivery and health outcomes, and cost-effectiveness where evidence permits, are questions for evaluation.
